Travel in the UK - Stephs World - East London - Julia Walker

Hi, I’m Julia, the owner of The Part-Time Mermaid, a small blog about all things I love such as beauty, fashion, lifestyle and food. I’m originally from Austria and moved to the UK to study at University. I try to spread positivity and attempt to make this world a brighter place every day. If you’re also a happy little daisy out there that enjoys the things I blog about, join me on this whirlwind journey I am on while chatting about things I love! <3

Why I chose to write about East London…

I have moved to the UK – specifically East London – in September 2014.
I really love living there since it’s a strong contrast to the tiny Austrian village I have grown up in. Exploring the big city life is so exciting for me – especially London is a place that I was always drawn to so living there makes me really proud and happy. I chose to write about East London since this is the place I know most about and I’m so looking forward to the other guest posts since I’m planning on doing a lot more travelling in the UK after graduating!

5 things to see and do in East London

Picnic in the Park

One of my favourite activities to do with friends especially in spring and summer is going out to the park to do a picnic – the park closest to my house is West Ham Park.

Mini Golf

I absolutely love mini golf – something I learned to love last summer.

Roof Top Bar

Hanging out in Roof Top bars watching the sunset.

Westfield Stratford City is lovely to spend a rainy day filling up your wardrobe and eating nice food!

Outdoor Movie Theatres

Especially when they play old classics like the Bodyguard or Grease!

Julia’s Recommendation for Food & Drink in East London

One of my all-time favourite bars in London is Roof East, a rooftop bar that offers amazing food and drinks, outdoor movie nights; you can even play mini golf or attend a yoga class and so many more activities – all in one place! It’s super nice spending the afternoon and evening there with your group of friends sipping cocktails and munching on Tapas!
