I’m back and it feels good! I hope everyone is well 🙂
Since August last year, I developed a love-hate relationship with blogging. I finished the massive series which was Travel in the UK, and my motivation to blog dropped. After then doing Christmas Blogger Q&A in December, I decided to not put any pressure on myself in terms of blogging and took the majority of January as a break.
I am so happy to be back now, and also with a fresh looking blog. I have added new category tabs onto the front page which will allow me to narrow my focus down in terms of blogging – and hopefully allow myself to improve my content and not feel anxious about it. I have also changed the format of the cover photos which will hopefully look nicer on all devices 🙂 Here’s to the new year ahead!
What has happened this month:
- Just after Christmas, we went to look at some puppies and ended up putting down a deposit. Teddy the Poochon Puppy will be joining the family in February 2018. Teddy will also have his own series on the blog which will be updated monthly.
- I mainly had lazy weekends – especially after suffering from constant colds since November!
- I got my money’s worth out of Netflix this month watching so many good TV shows.
Monthly Favourites // January 2018
Film – Bride Wars
Somehow, I have never seen Bride Wars before this week. I found the film so funny and really enjoyed watching it while curled up on the sofa with a cup of tea.
TV Show – F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Another thing which I don’t know how it has passed me! It is madness to think that 10 seasons of Friends passed by me!
I love the show so much and so happy I can watch it on Netflix. I am one of those people who refused to watch the re-runs on TV because I like to watch shows in order. I can’t be the only person who does this – right?
Music – Dimelo // Rak-Su ft. Wyclef Jean, Naughty Boy
This song really lifted my spirits during January! Roll on Summer 🙂
Baking – Paul Hollywood Brownies
Over Christmas, I did a little bit of baking. I did cheat though (just to save time) and picked up a Paul Hollywood Brownie ready mix. The brownies were so easy to make and tasted delicious! I then packaged them up in food bags from Poundland and gave them out as little presents.
Blogging – Camera Lens
For my Olympia OMD E-10 Mark III camera, I decided to purchase myself a new lens. The lens will allow me to take sharper blog photos and I cannot wait! The lens I got was the Olympus 25mm 1:1.8 M.Zuiko Digital Lens.
Food & Drink – Starbucks Caramel Macchiato
After Starbucks stopped their Christmas drinks, I needed to quickly find another drink to turn to – and then came along the Caramel Macchiato. A friend of mine recommended it and I love it! It is sweet, but the roasted coffee taste comes through and it is gorgeous!
Place To Be – Home
As I said before, January has been one of those month’s where I just wanted to be lazy, wrap up warm and stay indoors. I can’t say I have done a lot around the house, but it was just what was needed after a busy few months.
Teddy’s Favourites – Puppy Teddy Bear
Seen as Teddy will be having his own series on here, I only thought it was right he had a favourite too. This month we gave Teddy his first Teddy Bear. It was a Blue Teddy from Pets at Homes which is designed to be the puppy to have at their breeders home and help them transition into their forever home, so they can have the smell of their Mum and Siblings on. Cost: £3
