Last Autumn, I went on my first Pumpkin Picking trip and loved it! This year, we made it into a tradition and headed to our local Farm shop with friends to once again pick our own Pumpkin.
For this years post, I wanted to do a mini photo diary as well as telling you why I love getting into a Pumpkin Patch and picking my own Pumpkin.
5 Reasons Why I Love to Visit the Pumpkin Patch
One of the main things I love about pumpkin picking is being able to have a mini-photoshoot. This year it was extremely windy though, so I’m sporting that ‘windswept’ look – oops!
2) Have fun with friends
I love a good day out with friends, being able to take an Autumnal walk and catch-up as well as trying to find you “perfect pumpkin” quicker than anyone else.
3) Getting to break the Pumpkin from the vine
There is something super satisfying about breaking the pumpkin from the vine. Every time I get I get the little spikes in my hand though – not so much fun.
4) Supporting local business’
We go pumpkin picking at a farm about a half hour drive away and it’s perfect. We love visiting the cafe for something to eat and drink while there and also taking a look around the farm shop and buying fresh local produce.
5) Getting to choose your perfect Pumpkin
Want a white pumpkin? They have them. Want a small pumpkin? They have them. Want an oddly shaped pumpkin? You’ve got it, they’ve got it!
