Guide to Netflix – TV Programmes & Films

Guide to Netflix – TV Programmes & Films

We’ve all been there. You have a free few hours to sit down and watch TV; and you have no idea what to watch. I can spend 20 minutes just trying to find something to watch. Here is my Guide to Netflix with a 10 TV shows and 10 films which I enjoy watching. Most of these are shows you can even put on in the background while doing another task, which is usually blog writing for me.

10 TV Shows to Watch on Netflix

1) Gilmore Girls

I am addicted to Gilmore Girls. It is just so funny and easy to watch. I just need to get moving fast so I can watch the reunion show.

2) Rick & Morty

This TV show is so funny. It is not something I usually watch, but each episode are only 20 minutes long and just so easy to watch.

3) Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23

I loved this show and binge watched it within a few weeks, but the one thing which annoyed me was it was all out of order on Netflix. They recoreded lots of epoisodes, but they wasn’t shown until they went onto Netflix. If you want to watch them in order, I would take a look at this episode order guide.

4) The Big Bang Theory

One Christmas I got the Season 1-6 box set and I finished it within 2 weeks. I loved this show, but now I do dip in and out of it and it is still just as good.

5) Once

I will say that I have only watched a couple of episodes so far, but I did love the concept of the show. This is the one I will be moving onto after Gilmore Girls.

6) Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

I love this show. It is just so funny and in some ways odd. It is great to watch on an evening if you want something light-hearted to watch.

7) Miranda

I love Miranda Hart and this show is so re-watchable. It is just so funny. I am sure I have watched every episode at least 4 times.

8) Orange is the New Black

I enjoy Orange is the New Black, but I do have to say that I have to be in the mood to watch it. I have only got to half way through Season 1, but I do enjoy the show.

9) Pretty Little Liars

This is a show that I started but didn’t have the time to sit down and get into. I will be watching it again soon though.

10) iZombie

I started watching this show as a reccomendation and the concept was really odd. Basically, this nurse becomes a Zombie and has to eat brains to survive. Well, not survive as she technically isn’t alive; but functioning. While she eats the brains, she gets visions of the way that person died. It is like a crime drama/comedy in a way. You just have to watch the first episode to see what I mean.

10 Films to Watch on Netflix

1) The Hunger Games

I loved the first 2 films in The Hunger Games film series; but never gotten around to watching Mockingjay Part 1 & 2. Unfortunately, the first 2 films aren’t on Netflix; but the last 2 are which is good as I still have to watch them.

2) Guardians of the Galaxy

This film is hilarious. It has to be one of my favourite Marvel films as the soundtrack is just so brilliant. Such a funny film, I deny anyone to not like it.

3) Airplane

This is such a cult classic film. There are so many jokes, play of words and a bit of slapstick comedy throughout. I seriously always have stomach cramps after laughing my way through this film.

4) The Pink Panther 1 & 2

I do love Steve Martin in the role of Inspector Jacques Clouseau, but I know that many people don’t. I think this film was out while I was in High School and that this film now reminds me of this time. It is good just to have on in the background if nothing else. Oh, and Beyoncé is in it.

5) Star Trek – Into Darkness

I just love films set in Space and Star Trek counts. Netflix doesn’t have my favourite Space films which is a real shame, which are – The Martian, Interstellar, Gravity.

6) Maleficent

This is such a fairytale story with a twist. I find this film so visually pleasing and it is a film you a shed a tear or two to.

7) Avengers Assemble

What can I say about Avengers? I love a superhero movie, especially one with numerous superheros.

8) Ella Enchanted

I saw this film shown on TV a few years ago and it was nothing like I thought it would be. It is very much set in the old medieval times I would say and it is very magical.

9) The Prince & Me

This film is such a feel good movie. It’s so nice with a hot cuppa and a relax in bed.

10) Legally Blonde

Who doesn’t love Legally Blonde and Elle Woods? She is just brilliant!
