After seeing this tag being done by the lovely couple that are Food & Baker and also the equally lovely Sarah from Writing, Rambling, I decided to give the 25 Food Questions tag a go. By the way, did you manage to see my Interview which I did over on Food & Baker for their #FBBloggerSeries? What did you think about the 3 facts about me?
I love doing tags as they are a great way for those reading your blog to get to know you and also you get to meet some great bloggers too. After my Liebster Award tag, I got the chance to speak to other bloggers and some have turned out to have the same interests as me and we are now friends.
Q&A – 25 Food Questions
1. What’s your favourite breakfast?
At work I usually opt for a Muller Corner Yogurt, but if I have time I love boiled egg & soldiers or scrambled egg on toast.
2. How do you drink your coffee?
I am not really a big lover of hot drinks, but when I do have a coffee I like a Latte with 2 brown sugars. White sugar in coffee tastes so wrong.
3. What’s on your favourite sandwich?
I love a cheese and salad sandwich, not forgetting crisps. I love a crisp sandwich. I know, very odd.
4. Soup or Salad?
Soup every time. Especially mushroom, leek & potato or the minted lamb hotpot big soup with some delicious.
5. What’s your favourite cookbook?
Most of my recipes come from online nowadays. I usually head to Google, YouTube or even those 1 minute videos you get pop up on Facebook, and make changes to the recipe as I go along.
Saying that though, I have recently got the Tanya Bakes cookbook which I am loving. I can’t wait to do a recipe from there.
6. No more sweets or no more hearty foods?
What? This is a horrible question. Erm, I think I will have to give up sweets. I love good old hearty food. I hope I’ve made the right choice.
7. What’s your favourite Cuisine?
I love Indian food. I don’t like things too spicy, but apparently when I eat something really hot; my taste-buds think it is really mild. Very strange!
8. What’s your favourite food movie?
I don’t really know any food related movies. Does Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory count? I loved that film growing up, so much that I think I could tell you every line.
9. What’s your most guilty pleasure?
Cookies dunked in a fresh cup of tea. I don’t have this very often as when I say “I’ll only have 2 cookies”, we all know that means half a packet.
10. What’s your greatest inspiration source?
YouTube. Watching someone bake cakes or cook some good looking food always inspires me to get into the kitchen. For me, a few of my favourites to watch are How To Cake It
, Sorted Food
and also Niomi Smart
11. Cooking at home or going out for dinner?
I am getting more into cooking at home and trying to mix it up with what I cook, but going out for dinner will always win. I love trying out different places to eat and love the atmosphere you get in a restaurant.
12. High end or low profile?
I haven’t really been to a high end place to eat, so I think it will have to be low profile. If anyone wants to take me to a high end restaurant, that would be lovely haha.
13. What’s your favourite restaurant?
For lunch or an evening meal it would have to be Frankie and Benny’s. I love Italian food as it’s just so simple and delicious.
For breakfast, it has to be Hickorys Smokehouse. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you will already know that I am a regular at Hickorys for an amazing eggs Benedict.
14. I do my grocery shopping at:
I live with my parents so they do a ‘big’ shop at either Sainsburys or Tesco, but on the way to work I usually stop off at the Asda for my breakfast and lunch.
15. The tastiest food I’ve ever eaten was:
Steak with Garlic Butter from TGI Fridays. When we went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour
, we stayed at the Premier Inn next door to a TGI Fridays, and the Steak with the Garlic Butter was as magical as Hogwarts
16. What’s your favourite cocktail?
I am a Tee-Total so I don’t drink alcohol. I do like a Mocktail though, especially a Mojito.
17. Coffee with George Clooney or Heston Blumenthal?
Is this a competition? George Clooney obviously.
I would love to meet someone famous one day, and if George Clooney was that guy; I would love to have a chat over coffee. If you are free anytime this year George, let me know.
18. What should not be missing in your kitchen?
A dishwasher. I like to bake with numerous bowls, spoons and anything I can find; so the dishwasher is always a lifesaver.
19. What’s your favourite snack?
I am a big sweet fan. I usually have a packet of Haribo Starmix or Tangtastics in my draw at work so I can munch on them when I get peckish.
20. What’s on your pizza?
Ham & Mushroom (maybe even onions). I love a Farmhouse Pizza.
21. What food do you really dislike?
Anything seafood. I only like fish which you can get at a fish & chips shop.
Also anything in BBQ Sauce! Yuck!
22. What’s your favourite food blog?
For a blog dedicated to food, it has to be Jessica and James from Food & Baker
There are so many other bloggers who do great baking recipes on their blog too.
23. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I haven’t eaten anything weird actually. I usually stick to my usuals on a menu.
24. What’s on your food bucket list?
I would love to go to Italy and experience what a real Italian pizza should taste like. I feel a trip to Italy brewing.
25. I couldn’t live without:
I think this is a standard answer, but potatoes. They are so versatile.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Homepride Creamy Tomato & Bacon Pasta Bake, with lots of cheese and Garlic Chicken. This is a weekly thing for me to cook, and it is my favourite meal of the week! Love it so much.
