Clinique: High Impact Mascara

Clinique: High Impact Mascara

When I got my Clinique: Chubby Foundation Stick, the naughty people of Clinique put in a free mini mascara sample. This sample was the Clinique: High Impact Mascara.

One weekend, I was going out and fancied trying my new mascara too see what it would look like. I put it on and wow. I was in love immediately! I used it for a week or so just to make sure that it was the one I wanted to buy next, as I was (still am) a massive fan of my Soap & Glory mascara.

The next week, I went to Boots and picked up the High Impact Mascara and I haven’t looked back yet.

Here are my pros and cons of the Clinique: High Impact Mascara:

Pros of the Clinique: High Impact Mascara

The mascara is the best lengthening mascara I have used before. It gives more lenth than my Soap & Glory mascara and works brilliantly after I curl my lashes. They look almost fake.

One thing I can’t stand is a clumpy mascara. I have long eyelashes and the last thing I want is something that makes my eyelashes stick together and weigh down.

This mascara defines all my lashes and leaves them feeling fluttery.

Feels like your eyelashes are feathers

I really feel like my lashes feel all fluttery and like feathers. If you have ever felt a butterfies wings on your hand, you will know what I mean. This mascara makes my eyelashes feel so soft and lovely.

It melts off

I am really bad at taking my make-up off. When I say bad, I mean that I don’t do it at all. I know, please don’t shout at me Beauty Bloggers!

I usually jump in the shower and after a wash of my face, the mascara goes away instantly. It is perfect for me.

Only need one coat

I hate standing there for ages doing my mascara, over and over again. I like to do one coat and quickly move onto the next part of my make-up.

This mascara is lovely even after just one coat. I may double up for a night out, but for work or a day out; one coat is perfect enough.

Cons of the Clinique: High Impact Mascara

Can’t go swimming with it on

As I said above, I wash my face in the shower and the mascara melts away instantly. I haven’t put this to the test, but I don’t think I would wear it to go swimming because of this reason.

The RRP for this mascara is £17.50 which is a lot for a mascara in my eyes.

Would I repurchase though? Yes Yes Yes. I am in love!
