Welcome back to my Christmas Blogger Q&A series. The series is running from 1st December right up to the big day. Today we welcome Jordan from Hello Miss Jordan.
Hello Miss Jordan
My name is Jordan and I run the lifestyle and travel blog and Instagram account Hello Miss Jordan! I would say that I am best known for my ‘everyday princess’ style and my travel photos which aim to capture the magic of locations around the world.
1) Where do you spend Christmas Day and what do you usually do?
I normally spend Christmas Day in Dubai with my family, but this year will be the first in a while where we will actually be in England, so I’m very excited to see all the festive TV that we normally miss! For me, Christmas Day is a classic ‘do-nothing’ day where you eat and sit in your pyjamas all day. Perfect!
2) Do you have any traditions which your family have or you have started?
My family have always had the tradition of buying a Christmas ornament wherever we go in the world, which I have now continued with my own tree in my house. This year I bought 10 new decorations on our travels! We also always get fish and chips on Christmas Eve.
3) Which Christmas character would you like to be and why?
Ooh this one is hard! I don’t think there’s a specific character I would like to be but I’d love to be myself in a Love Actually story!
4) If you were able to invite 3 famous figures (past or present) to Christmas dinner, who would you invite and why?
Audrey Hepburn, because she is my ultimate life and style inspiration, Lin Manuel-Miranda because he is absolutely incredible (and we could sing Hamilton songs together) and Walt Disney, for obvious reasons.
5) If you could spend Christmas anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I would love to spend Christmas Day in Walt Disney World (bonus points if it’s my dream hotel The Grand Floridian)! We’ll be there for the start of the festive period this year but it would be so incredible to actually spend the big day there.
6) Tell us your best Christmas cracker joke…
How does Good King Wenceslas like his pizzas? One that’s deep pan, crisp and even!
7 ) In the past I have asked about your favourite song & movie, this year I’m asking, what is your favourite Christmas TV Special?
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special is always my favourite!
8) Do you own any Christmas Jumpers, and do you have any favourites?
I only have one at the moment which is my one from Fat Face. It’s subtle but super cosy.
9) Do you usually hit the shops or do your shopping online?
If I’m honest, I normally get the majority of my Christmas shopping done in January for the following year! This is when I’ll buy Christmas cards as well as they’ll be a third of the price. Otherwise, anything that someone may want later in the year I’ll get online. I avoid my local shopping centre as it’s so busy!
10) Where is your favourite place to visit on the run up to Christmas?
I love to visit all the festive spots around London but Covent Garden is always really lovely, and the Cartier building when they add the huge bow!
What achievement are you most proud of?
I don’t really have anything new, but last year I designed my own tulle skirt which you can buy! They are all made to measure and it was one of my favourite achievements to date, as I’m absolutely in love with it! You can purchase it from Amy Winwood.
