Welcome back to my Christmas Blogger Q&A series. The series is running from 1st December right up to the big day. Today we welcome Victoria from Doorways & Dresses.
Doorways & Dresses
Hi everyone, my name is Victoria and I am the blogger behind Doorways & Dresses, Raised in the Canary Islands, you will now find me based in good old Leeds, West Yorkshire, I love everything about photography, travel, beauty and writing. Growing up English was my second language at school so starting my blog was a great way to also improve the way I write and share all my experiences,
1) Where do you spend Christmas Day and what do you usually do?
Christmas is one of my many favourite events of the year. For me it’s all about family, friends, food and a few hot chocolate’s with baileys. (it’s Christmas-rude not to). For the first time in years, I am actually spending this year in Germany with my fiance and close friends, which I am very excited about.
2) Do you have any traditions which your family have or you have started?
I wouldn’t say we have any special traditions to be fair. I know that might sound a little boring but I just love getting into the festive season with a few drinks, good food, great company and a Christmas jumper.
3) Which Christmas character would you like to be and why?
I think I would be Buddy the Elf, as he is always super happy about everything in the world and I love that. It’s also one of my favourite Christmas movies and I watch it every year, it never gets old.
4) If you were able to invite 3 famous figures (past or present) to Christmas dinner, who would you invite and why?
Wow this is an interesting question. 100% Peter Kay for the laughs, Julia Roberts because she is one of my favourite actresses and would love to hear more about her life and last but not least Will Smith because it’s Will Smith. Oooo but I need a cook, can I have Gordon Ramsay as well?
5) If you could spend Christmas anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Somewhere really cold like Lapland for Christmas would be awesome. I grew up celebrating Christmas in the heat, which may sound amazing but I much prefer Christmas in the cold.
6) Tell us your best Christmas cracker joke…
What do you get if you eat Christmas decorations? Tinselitis! (haha, bad right?)
7 ) In the past I have asked about your favourite song & movie, this year I’m asking, what is your favourite Christmas TV Special?
’m sure Gavin and Stacey have a TV special but to be honest I’m not too sure. I have to name a few of my fav movies here, Office Christmas Party, Buddy the Elf, Love Actually and Bad Santa.
8) Do you own any Christmas Jumpers, and do you have any favourites?
I don’t, I used to have Bambi one that lit up but I need to go on the hunt for a new one this year so keep your eyes peeled.
9) Do you usually hit the shops or do your shopping online?
I do a bit of both to be honest. I meet my fiance and we try and finish off our shopping super fast and then hit the bar to congratulate ourselves. (hey it’s Christmas, don’t judge)
10) Where is your favourite place to visit on the run up to Christmas?
The Leeds Christmas markets, they are my favourite and you will find me there every year.
Is there anything you have been proud of this year, and anything coming up in 2019?
I started taking blogging seriously this year and I am so proud of myself of how far I have come. I am not in this industry for the products or the money (although that’s a bonus). I love to share with you all my love for photography and sharing with you all my beauty tips, my latest travels and having a moan about life. 2019 is a big year for me as I am getting married in Greece, eeeeek so excited. Please keep checking the blog for my regular updates.
